Field of Memories

In this competition project we participated in during my internship at Openact, I worked on video editing and the preparation of 3D model scenes and animations in the video. In addition, I played a role for preparing 3D models of the diagrams we prepared and post process stages with photoshop.

While the project approaches the concepts of collective memory and democratic access to information about pandemics and the materialization of the externalized collective intellectual process, the project deals with the space as a place of remembrance for learning. The main idea here is to keep the social memory of the epidemic alive and to create a collective emotion and memory landscape in which memory, thought and knowledge are synthesized in the face of "social amnesia" that may occur over time. Confronting the fact that epidemics and pandemics are constantly occurring in the world and the current pandemic still continues, finds its own response in the intellectual content of the project. It is not possible for this story, which is still being written, to be included in a stereotyped and embodied narrative, and it necessitates a reality beyond a conventional monumental representation. For this reason, the project is interpreted as a multi-layered, ecopolitical and open-source performative installation, as well as an active and transforming urban archive that continues to grow with new inputs to the proposed spatial algorithm.
